With a grocery list, you can make sure that you never forget anything important. And best of all, it only takes a few minutes to write one!

How to Write a Grocery List in 4 Steps:

Step One: Make a list of all the meals you plan to make in the next week. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and any snacks you might want. For the little extras that pop up such as paper towels, make sure you write them down as soon as they occur to you. Keep a list on the fridge and grab it before you go shopping.

Step Two: For each meal, write down all of the ingredients you will need onto your shopping list. Group them together by category. For example, all of the meat items should be together, all of the produce items should be together, etc. This will save you time once you get to the shop.

Step Three: Take a look at your list and see if there are any items you can buy in bulk. For example, if you know you’ll be using a lot of flour, buy a big bag instead of just a small one. This will save you money in the long run!

Step Four: When you’re ready to go shopping, take your list with you and stick to it! Don’t be tempted to buy things you don’t need.
