Are you constantly wondering what you should make for dinner? Do you feel like you are eating the same thing over and over again? If so, this free meal plan and grocery list template is for you!
Creating a meal plan can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be! By following our simple template, you can create a meal plan that works for you and your family.
How to use our template for your meal plan:
First, start by creating a list of all the meals you would like to eat in a week and when you will eat each meal. Keep in mind what other activities you have on certain days and save the elaborate meals for the days that aren’t too busy.
How to use our grocery list:
Once you have your meal plan set out, start writing down the ingredients you need to make each recipe.
Hot tip: If you’re on a budget, consider purchasing items in larger quantities to save money. One large packet of chicken breast can make multiple dinners and is better value than buying smaller portions.
Tips for sticking with your meal plan:
- Consider batch cooking some of your meals so that you have them ready to go during the week. This can be a big time saver when you are trying to stick to your meal plan (or diet). One easy way to get started is to simply buy double the amount of food you need for a recipe and freeze half of it.
- Make sure that you are realistic about what you can accomplish in a week. If you find that you are constantly falling behind, try scaling back your meal plan to something that is more manageable.
- Look what you already have in your pantry and fridge before you get started. You might be able to use up something that you’ve had sitting around so it won’t go to waste – and save a little bit of money too.
- Have a plan for leftovers. Many meals can be frozen in a container and taste just as good the second time around.
