Tip: Do the list in the order it’s presented for the most efficient clean.

How to Set up a bathroom cleaning kit:

Before you start cleaning, start by putting all the products you need below into a washing basket. Then you won’t need to muck around looking under the sink for things while you’re cleaning. You’ll also use the washing basket for your towels and bath mats.

Everything you need to clean your bathroom:

  • All-purpose cleaner
  • Bathroom cleaning spray (optional)
  • Paper towels
  • Microfibre cloth
  • Window cleaner
  • Soft toothbrush
  • Bleach
  • Bin liners
  • Washing basket

How to Clean the Bathroom:

How to clean the sink, faucet, and counter:

Start by cleaning the sink, faucet, and counter. Wipe down the surfaces with a paper towel and some all-purpose cleaner. Be sure to get into all of the nooks and crannies. Polish any steel with a microfibre cloth.

How to clean the mirror and shower glass:

Next, clean the mirror and shower glass. Spray the surfaces with a glass cleaner and wipe them down with a paper towel. If you have any stubborn spots, you can use a soft toothbrush to scrub them away.

How to clean the shower and bath:

Now it’s time to clean the shower and bath. Start by spraying the surfaces with an all-purpose cleaner or a specifically designed bathroom cleaner. Let the cleaner sit for a few minutes, then scrub the surfaces with paper towels. Also, throw out any empty soap and shampoo bottles and old razors.

How to clean the toilet (without scrubbing):

Last but not least, clean the toilet. If you don’t want to scrub it with a brush (I know I don’t) just pour bleach into the bowl. Leave it to sit for 30 minutes then flush. Use an all-purpose cleaner and paper towels to wipe down the outside and the stand.

Before you finish up, empty all of the rubbish bins and replace the liners.

Put all your towels, hand towels, mats, and face washers in your washing basket and chuck it in the wash. Put out fresh and clean ones.

Refill soap dispensers and restock toilet paper.

Last but not least, vacuum and mop the floor. It’s important to do this last because it will remove any dirt, dust, and hair that has fallen on the floor from the rest of your cleaning.

That’s it! You’re all done. Put your bathroom cleaning kit back together and away where it goes. Your bathroom is now sparkling clean, thanks to our free bathroom cleaning checklist.
